PROVO, Utah (AP) - Matt Leinart passed for 236 yards and two touchdowns andReggie Bush scored twice in his first 100-yard rushing game for top-rankedSouthern California in the Trojans' 42-10 victory over Brigham Young onSaturday night.
Southern Cal (3-0) won its 13th straight game, overcoming some earlyblunders, penalties and two missed field goals to beat the Cougars (1-2).
The defending national champion Trojans scored three times in the final 8:30of the second quarter, including a 66-yard scoring run by Bush, and added threemore TDs in the fourth quarter to seal it.
Bush had 14 carries for 124 yards, topping the 89 he ran for last seasonagainst Notre Dame. He also caught four passes for 42 yards, including a21-yarder from Leinart for Southern Cal's first score of the game.
Leinart completed 22 of 35 passes with one interception and added a 1-yardtouchdown run early in the fourth quarter, the first rushing TD of his career.LenDale White scored on a 43-yard run later in the fourth for his second100-yard game in a row, finishing with 110 yards on 17 carries.
The score could have been much more one-sided if it weren't for SouthernCal's own mistakes and a handful of big plays by the BYU defense. The Cougars, however, could only stop the Trojans so many times and didn't get nearly enoughhelp from the offense.
