Three Pac-10 Schools Ranked Among Top-25 In Lindy's Preseason Poll

Three Pac-10 women's basketball teams -- STANFORD, ARIZONA and UCLA -- are ranked among the Top-25 in the 2004-05 Lindy's Sports Annuals Preseason Women's College Basketball poll, released today.
The defending Pac-10 Co-Champions, the Cardinal and Wildcats are ranked No. 9 and No. 20, respectively. The Bruins, who tied for third place in the Conference race last year with ARIZONA STATE and USC, have been tabbed No. 22 by Lindy's. Stanford, the 2004 State Farm Pac-10 Tournament winner, is coming off a 27-7 season. The Cardinal advanced to the NCAA Elite Eight for the second time since its 1997 Final Four run last year. Stanford returns three starters this season.
Arizona went 24-9 overall last season and earned a second straight at-large bid to the 2004 NCAA Tournament. Arizona returns four starters for the 2004-05 season.
UCLA, which finished at 17-13 overall a year ago, earned the league's other at-large NCAA Tournament bid. The Bruins made their return to the NCAA Tournament following a three-year absence, and welcome five starters back to Westwood.
