Isaiah Cook Joins Football Program

Sept. 27, 2004

Corvallis, Ore. - Oregon State University freshman student-athlete Isaiah Cook has been admitted to school and will begin practicing with the football team immediately, head coach Mike Riley announced Monday.

Cook, from Claremont High School in Claremont, Calif., received notification Thursday that the NCAA has approved him to join the football squad.

The linebacker prospect signed a National Letter of Intent to play at Oregon State Feb. 4. Cook was a three-year letterman at Claremont and helped the team to the 2002 Baseline League title. SuperPrep Magazine selected Cook to its all-region team last year after making 89 tackles. One recruiting service ranked him 15th on its national linebackers list.

Oregon State University began fall term classes Monday.
