Football Team Members to Speak at Pioneer Elementary in Gilbert

TEMPE, Ariz. -- Several Arizona State University football student-athletes will spend their bye week not only continuing their education on campus, but also by getting into the community to speak to kids in the first and sixth grades at the Pioneer Elementary School in Gilbert. The student-athletes will speak to one first-grade class and the entire sixth- grade on Monday, October 4 from 10:45 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

The players will speak to the classes on the subjects of staying in school, staying away from drugs and the player's lives in dealing with football, family and education.

All media interested in attending the event must check into the Pioneer Elementary School Main Office before proceeding to the classrooms.

Pioneer Elementary School is located at 1525 North Greenfield in Gilbert.

Directions to Pioneer Elementary:East on State Route 60 to Greenfield. Right on Greenfield until you reach the crossroads of Greenfield and Baseline Roads. The school will be on the left hand side, across the street from the Blockbuster video rental store.
