Crimson Loses By Default

Oct. 1, 2004

PULLMAN, Wash. - Crimson's Head Coach Travis Jewett breaks Fall World Series pitching policy which costs his team the victory in Game 4.

The pre-negotiated pitching rule was that no starting pitcher was to exceed four innings; Wayne Damon pitched five innings which was a clear violation of the terms.

'Coach Jewett believed he was above the rules,' Head Coach Donnie Marbut commented on Jewett's governing tactics.

The fifth and deciding game will take place at 6:30pm on Friday, October 1, 2004 at Baily-Brayton Field.
