Official Rules - Good Guys Bowl Bound 2004 Sweepstakes
1. HOW TO PLAY
The Good Guys Bowl Bound 2004 Sweepstakes ('Sweepstakes') begins at 12:01 PM Pacific Daylight Time ('PDT') on October 1, 2004 and ends at 11:59 PM Pacific Standard Time ('PST') on December 1, 2004 ('Sweepstakes Period'). During the Sweepstakes Period, you may enter the Sweepstakes by doing one of the following: 1) Visiting a participating Good Guys store, and legibly completing an official form, available while supplies last, and mail to Pac-10 Properties, c/o Good Guys Bowl Bound 2004 Sweepstakes, 10,000 Santa Monica Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90067; 2) On an approximately 3' x 5' card, hand-print your name, address, city, state, zip code, daytime phone number and age, as well as the collegiate football bowl game played during the 2004/2005 collegiate football season ('Bowl Game') you would like to attend and mail your entry to Pac-10 Properties, c/o Good Guys Bowl Bound 2004 Sweepstakes, 10,000 Santa Monica Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90067; or 3) Log on to the www.pac-10.org website and follow the links to the Sweepstakes, fill in the on-line entry form and submit in accordance with the on-screen instructions. Limit: One (1) entry per person per day. Entries must be received by December 1, 2004, at 11:59 PM PST. Pac-10 Properties will not verify receipt of entries. All entries submitted become the sole property of Pac-10 Properties and Good Guys, Inc. (collectively, the 'Sponsors') and will not be acknowledged or returned.

The Sweepstakes is open only to entrants residing in the continental, contiguous United States who are eighteen (18) years of age and older as of October 1, 2004. Employees, officers, and directors of Pac-10 Properties and Good Guys, Inc. and their respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, Sweepstakes, licensees and fulfillment agencies, immediate family members (defined as spouse, sibling, parent and persons living in their same household), are NOT eligible to participate in the Sweepstakes. Void where prohibited by law.
4. RULES ARE BINDING
Participation in the Sweepstakes constitutes entrant's understanding of and full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules. Sponsors reserve the right to disqualify any entrant that Sponsors determine to be in violation of any term contained in these Official Rules. Sponsors' decision not to enforce a specific provision of these Official Rules does not constitute a waiver of that provision or of the Official Rules generally.
Odds of winning the Sweepstakes will depend on the total number of entrants satisfying the entry and eligibility criteria described above.
6. TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Drawing; Prizes and Winning
Drawing. On approximately December 7, 2004, Sponsors will conduct a random drawing from among all eligible entries made during the Sweepstakes Period to select one (1) winner of the Grand Prize.
Grand Prize (1). One (1) trip for two (2) people to a Bowl Game of the winner's choice. The grand prize includes: two (2) Bowl Game tickets, two (2) round-trip, coach airfare tickets to the city of Bowl Game selected from a major U.S. airport nearest the winner's primary residence (or round-trip ground transportation if winner resides less than one hundred (100) miles from the city of Bowl Game selected) and hotel accommodations (double occupancy) for three (3) days/two (2) night (collectively, the 'Grand Prize'). Hotel accommodations, to be determined by Sponsors, in their sole discretion. Companion must travel with winner. All other costs and expenses not specified herein, including, without limitation, food, beverages and incidentals, shall be the sole responsibility of winner. The trip must take place from December 14, 2004, through January 4, 2005 (extensions will not be granted). Sponsors reserve the right to change the dates of travel. Specific Bowl Games and all other trip details subject to availability. Certain travel restrictions/requirements may apply. Airline tickets, tickets to the bowl game are non-refundable for cash and are non-changeable once issued. If lost, they will not be replaced.
Prize Fulfillment. Awarding of the Grand Prize is subject to verification by Sponsors. No assignment or transfer of any prize or other substitution is permitted except at Sponsors' sole discretion. All applicable U.S. Federal, state, and local taxes, duties, or other taxes or fees are the sole responsibility of the winner, who may be issued a 1099 IRS tax form (Grand Prize winner is advised to seek independent counsel regarding Grand Prize winnings). Approximate Retail Value of Grand Prize is Four Thousand Dollars ($4,000). Actual value may vary based on initial point of departure. No cash value is offered for any prize. Total value of prizes is expressed in U.S. Dollars. Except as otherwise stated in these Official Rules, all trademarks and logos used in connection with the stated prize are the property of third parties who are neither associated with nor endorse this Sweepstakes.
Decisions of Sponsors; Notification Generally
All decisions of Sponsors are final and binding. Sponsors will notify potential winner by email or phone, at the discretion of Sponsors, within three (3) days after an entrant has become the potential winner. If the potential winner cannot be contacted within three (3) business days after the first attempt, or if the potential winner fails to comply with these Official Rules, the potential winner forfeits the Grand Prize. If the Grand Prize is not claimed within three (3) days after notification, it will be forfeited and Sponsors may, at their sole discretion, select another winner. Sponsors shall not be responsible or liable for its failure to contact potential winners due to an incorrect, out of date or undeliverable email address or telephone number. Entrants should be sure to give their correct contact information so that they will be able to receive the prize if selected as a potential winner. A potential winner, who fails to notify Sponsors with any complaint or problem within three (3) days after attempted prize notification, forfeits their right to do so.
If required by Sponsors, winner must sign and return a release of liability, declaration of eligibility (and where lawful, a publicity consent agreement, all within three (3) days of receipt, except as set forth herein.
By accepting the prize offered herein, winner agrees to Sponsors' use of his/her name, voice, quotes, comments, biography, photograph, image, and/or likeness for the purpose of advertising, trade, or Sweepstakes without further compensation or consideration in any and all media now known or hereafter developed throughout the world, unless prohibited by law.
Identity of Entrant
In the event of a dispute regarding identity of entrant, the entrant will be the authorized account holder of the email account from which the entry was made. The 'authorized account holder' is the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet access provider, service provider, or other online organization that is responsible for assigned email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address.
Conditions Relating to Participation in the Sweepstakes and Use of the Site
Release of Liability; Limitation of Liability
By participating in the Sweepstakes, entrants agree that Good Guys, Inc., Pac-10 Properties, their respective officers, directors and employees, and their agents, representatives, parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, Sweepstakes, and fulfillment agencies, and legal advisors are not responsible for and shall not be liable for:
1) late, lost, delayed, damaged, misdirected, incomplete, illegible, unintelligible, or postage-due notices, release forms, affidavits or other correspondence;
2) potential winner's unsuccessful efforts to claim any prize;
3) any telephone, electronic, hardware or software program, network, Internet, or computer malfunctions, slow-downs, failures, or difficulties of any kind;
4) failed, incomplete, garbled, or delayed computer transmissions;
5) any condition caused by events beyond the reasonable control of the Sponsors that may cause the Sweepstakes to be disrupted or corrupted, however minor;
6) any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising in connection with or as a result of the acceptance, possession, or use of a prize, or from participation in the Sweepstakes;
7) any Manipulation by a person; or8) any printing or typographical errors related to the Sweepstakes, or errors attributable to a malfunctioning prize notice or pop-up window associated with the Sweepstakes.
IN NO EVENT WILL GOOD GUYS, INC., PAC-10 PROPERITES, OR THEIR PARENTS, AFFILIATES, SUBSIDIARIES AND RELATED COMPANIES, THEIR ADVERTISING OR SWEEPTAKES AGENCIES OR THEIR RESPECTIVE OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, REPRESENTATIVES AND AGENTS, BE RESPONSIBLE OR LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES OR LOSSES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR (1) ACCESS TO AND USE OF, OR INABILITY TO ACCESS, THE SITE, (2) DOWNLOADING FROM AND/OR PRINTING MATERIAL DOWNLOADED FROM THIS SITE, (3) PARTICIPATION IN THE SWEEPTAKES OR ANY OF THE GAMES AVAILABLE ON THE SITE, OR (4) ACCEPTANCE OF ANY PRIZE. WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, EVERYTHING ON THIS SITE, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, THE SWEEPTAKES AND THE OTHER GAMES ON THE SITE, ARE PROVIDED 'AS IS' AND 'AS AVAILABLE' WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. SOME JURISDICTIONS MAY NOT ALLOW THE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OR EXCLUSION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES SO SOME OF THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. CHECK YOUR LOCAL LAWS FOR ANY RESTRICTIONS OR LIMITATIONS REGARDING THESE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSIONS.
Bugs and Viruses; Irregularities; Cancellation
Sponsors reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to suspend or cancel the Sweepstakes at any time if a computer virus, bug, Manipulation or other technical problem, regardless of the cause, affects, compromises, or corrupts the administration, security, or proper play of the Sweepstakes. Prizes that are not obtained through authorized legitimate methods, or are the result of Manipulation, mechanical, electronic, digital or computer or other error, are void. SPONSORS SHALL NOT BE OBLIGATED TO AWARD ANY PRIZE THAT RELATES TO OR ARISES OUT OF IMPROPER OR MISTAKEN PRIZE NOTIFICATION, OPERATION OR FUNCTION OF THIS SWEEPSTAKES. No more than the stated number of prizes in these Official Rules will be awarded.
In addition to the foregoing, if for any reason (including, but not limited to, incidents of force majeure, technical difficulties, and other events not within the reasonable control of Sponsors) Sponsors cannot continue the Sweepstakes, Sponsors may, in their sole discretion, cancel this Sweepstakes.
THIS SWEEPTAKES IS GOVERNED BY THE LAWS OF THE UNITED STATES, AND THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA. As a condition of participating in the Sweepstakes, entrants agree that any and all disputes which cannot be resolved between the parties, and causes of action arising out of or connected with the Sweepstakes, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, exclusively, in a court of competent jurisdiction located in Los Angeles, California.
8. WINNERS/OFFICIAL RULES
To obtain a copy of the winner list or a copy of these Official Rules, send your request along with a stamped, self-addressed envelope to Pac-10 Properties, c/o Good Guys Bowl Bound 2004 Sweepstakes, 10,000 Santa Monica Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90067. Requests for the name of winner for a particular drawing must be identified as such, and received by Sponsors no later than sixty (60) days following the applicable drawing date. Tennessee and Vermont residents may omit return postage.
