Pac-10 Football Players Of The Week Named

WALNUT CREEK, Calif.--Wide receiver Chase Lyman of California and linebacker Spencer Havner and kicker Justin Medlock, both of UCLA, have been named U.S. Bank Pac-10 Football Players of the Week.
Lyman, a senior from Los Altos Hills, Calif., provided the big plays in California's 49-7 win at Oregon State. Lyman pulled in five receptions for 176 yards, an average of 35.2 yards per catch, including three touchdowns covering 11, 79 and 31 yards.
Havner and Medlock played key roles in UCLA's 33-10 win against San Diego State. Havner, a junior from Nevada City, Calif., had a game-high 14 tackles, six solo, including one tackle for loss and returned an interception 52 yards for a touchdown.
Medlock, a sophomore from Fremont, Calif., accounted for 15 points in going a perfect four-of-four on field goal attempts, connecting from 22, 40, 43 and 44 yards. He also was perfect on three PAT attempts.
Others nominated for offensive player of the week honors were running backs J.R. Lemon of Stanford, Hakim Hill of Arizona State and Maurice Drew of UCLA. Also nominated on defense were linebacker David Bergeron of Stanford and end Kyle Caldwell of Arizona State. Punter Chris MacDonald of Arizona State was nominated for special teams play.
