No. 22 Cal in 11th After Second Round of Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational

SAMMAMISH, Wash. - No. 22 California improved its score by 12 strokes from day one, but the Golden Bears remained in 11th place Tuesday at the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational. Cal owns a 36-hole score of 628 and is only eight shots out of seventh place at the Sahalee Country Club.

Oklahoma State remained atop the leader board at 597 following today's score of 301. Oregon is second at 604, followed by USC (605), Pepperdine (614) and Washington State (615). The Trojans equaled the Cowgirls with the low score of the day at 301.

Oklahoma State's Karin Sjodin continues to lead the tournament and holds a one-shot advantage (143) over her teammate Annie Thurman (144).Senior Claire Dury shot a 75 today and leads Cal in a tie for 12th at 151. After shooting a 76, junior Sophia Sheridan moved up four spaces to a tie for 21st (154). Freshman Jen Sanders, who paced Cal with three birdies, also showed improvement, shooting a 77 to jump to a tie for 44th (160).

Junior Sofie Andersson accounted for Cal's other counting score (80) Tuesday and is tied for 52nd (153). Sophomore Danielle Nash is tied for 68th at 175.

The final round begins at 8 a.m. Wednesday.
