Men's Golf Set To Compete At MacKenzie Alister Invite

Stanford, Calif. - The Stanford men's golf team are back in action this week at the third-annual Alister MacKenzie Invitational this Monday and Tuesday, Oct 11-12, at The Meadow Club in Fairfax, Calif. The Alister MacKenzie Invitational is a 54-hole tournament, with 36 holes played on Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday. The Meadow Club course, founded in 1927, measures 6,585 yards and is a par-71.

Tee times start at 7:25 a.m. on Monday and 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday. A practice round will be held Sunday.

The field for this year's event includes some of the nation's best collegiate golf teams. Joining host California at this 15-team event will be Pac-10 rivals Stanford, Washington, Oregon State and Oregon - plus Purdue, Kansas State, Illinois, Northwestern, San Francisco, Cal Poly, Pacific, San Jose State, Long Beach State and Nevada.

Last week, the Cardinal finished 12th at the Windon Memorial Invitational with a three-round score of 903. The team was led by freshman Rob Grube who tied for 19th individually.
