Men's Golf In 12th At Alister MacKenzie Invitational

The Stanford men's golf team shot rounds of 299 and 294 on the opening day of the third-annual Alister MacKenzie Invitational in Fairfax, Calif. The Cardinal's two-round score of 593 puts them in 12th place overall, heading into tomorrow's final round. Oregon State and Northwester lead the field by three strokes with a 565, followed by Purdue (568), California (569), Kansas State (572) and Cal Poly (572).

The final 18 holes of play will be contested tomorrow at The Meadow Club in Fairfax, Calif. will golfers beginning to tee off at 8 a.m.
