USC-Arizona State Football Game Is Sold Out
Oct. 15, 2004
All 92,000 seats in the Coliseum have been sold for Saturday's football between No. 1-ranked USC and No. 15 Arizona State.
Also, there will be a free shuttle running to and from the Coliseum for fans who park at the Staples Center lots.
This is the first Coliseum sellout in the Trojans-Sun Devils series. It also is only the second time in Trojan history that there have been back-to-back sellouts in the Coliseum (last week's game against No. 7 California was sold out). The other time was in 1947 for the UCLA and Notre Dame games.
And, if the crowd is larger than last week's 90,008, it will be Troy's largest crowd to see a non-UCLA/non-Notre Dame home game since 1952, when 94,677 fans attended the USC-California game when the Coliseum's capacity was greater than present.
Parking at Staples Center lots 2 and 3 will be $10.
Shuttles will pick up fans on 11th Street and Georgia Street and drop them off at the Coliseum at Exposition Boulevard and Figueroa Street. Shuttles will start running from the Staples Center at 8:30 a.m. and will stop running from the Coliseum an hour after the game's conclusion.
Tailgating will not be allowed in the Staples Center parking lots.
The game will be shown live regionally on ABC-TV at 12:30 p.m.
