Husky Golfers Head to Duke

Seattle - The Husky men's golf team travels to Duke this week to participate in the 14-team Coca-Cola Duke Golf Classic at the 7,104-yard, par-72 Duke Golf Club on October 17-18. The tournament will feature two rounds of competition on Sunday, beginning with an 8 a.m. shotgun start. Monday's final round features tee times between 8 a.m. and 10:06 a.m.

Washington moved up to 14th in the latest Golfweek standings. Husky sophomore Alex Prugh, who leads Washington with a 70.67 stroke average, is 17th in the individual rankings. Prugh has finished third in two outings this fall.

The field includes Baylor, Charlotte, Coastal Carolina, Drake, Duke, Florida Southern, Furman, Michigan, Michigan State, North Carolina, UNC-Wilmington, Texas A&M, Virginia Tech and Washington.

At last year's event, North Carolina won the team competition and Tar Heel Dustin Bray earned individual medalist honors.
