Oregon State fell to No. 12 Washington 2-0 in Pacific-10 men's soccer Sunday afternoon in Seattle. The Beavers drop to 5-8-1 overall and 0-4-0 in Pacific-10 play. The win for Washington was the fifth win in a row and added to their league leading record of 3-0-1 in Pacific-10. (10-3-2 overall)

Missing three key players due to ejections in their game against California last week, the Beavers couldn't generate the scoring chances to overcome the Huskies. Alex Christenson, Carlos Cornejo, and Bryan Jordan were all unable to compete.

'We didn't take the chances we could have with those three players,' OSU head coach Dana Taylor said. 'We didn't create a lot of opportunities.'

Washington forward Casey Armstrong scored early in the 15th minute on a 10-yard shot off an assist by Jeff Hoover. In the 58th minute, Kevin Forrest scored Washington's second goal off a deflection.

'2-0 was indicative of how the game played out,' Taylor said. 'We had one good missed opportunity'

Washington dominated scoring opportunities throughout the game, leading in shots 23-9 and in corner kicks 7-4.

'We worked hard and executed the plan for most of the game,' Taylor said. 'We just lost a few chances that they were able to capitalize on.'

Oregon State has next week off, but plays again Oct. 29 at No. 13 California.
