THIS WEEK: Oregon State (8-8-0 overall, 2-3-0 Pacific 10) is on the road this week, taking on California Friday at 3:30 p.m. and Stanford on Sunday at 1 p.m. in Pacific-10 women's soccer. The Beavers split their games last weekend, losing Friday to No.7 Washington 1-0 in double-overtime, and beating Washington State 3-2 on Sunday. 'I think our results this weekend, from great performances on Friday and Sunday came down to a team effort as much as anything else,' OSU head coach Steve Fennah said. 'There are a lot of people doing a lot of hard work and running.' Fennah noted that forwards Jodie Taylor and Stacey Mescher played important roles in their win against Washington State. Likewise he praised the defense and midfield for their efforts against WSU. 'The whole backline did a great job,' Fennah said. 'It was a great day for Lauren Wippel, Melena Ertler had a tremendous game, Alison Vislay, and Monica Storm were great in the middle. We did tremendous around the rest of the field, midfielder Janelle Joy covered every inch of the field, it was really a great game for us.' 'We have to compare ourselves to Cal and Stanford, who are both good teams, going into this week,' Fennah said. 'They are obviously two good teams. I am sure Cal is very excited coming off the upset win of UCLA, they will be a tough team to play down at their place. We will need to work on the things that put us in a position to do well.'

STATISTICAL STANDOUTS: OSU forwards Jodie Taylor, Stacie Mescher, and goalkeeper Melissa Onstad are all ranked in the Pac-10 going into this week.
