Husky Women's Golfers Jump to Third in Golfweek Poll

Seattle - The Washington women's golf team moved up two spots to third in the latest Golfweek Collegiate Standings. The Huskies are fourth in the latest Golfstat poll. So far this year Washington has placed in the top three in all three fall tournaments this year. The Huskies will compete at the Las Vegas Founders' Collegiate Showdown Nov. 1-3 in the team's final stroke play event.
Husky junior Paige Mackenzie is ranked 13th this week by Golfweek. She leads Washington with a 73.11 stroke average. Freshman Kim Shin is 17th in the rankings. She is second on the team with a 73.22 stroke average and has posted a pair of top-10 finishes this year.
As a team, Golfweek has the Huskies ranked second in the nation in par par-3 scoring with a 3.14 average.
