Lepp Turns in 69 at World Amateur Championship

Rio Grande, Puerto Rico - Washington junior James Lepp shot 3-under 69 during the third round of play at the World Amateur Team Championships in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico. Lepp's score moved him up to 18th place and improved Canada's standing to fourth in the 66-team event. His 54-hole total is 4-under 212. Lepp shot 73 during the first round and 70 during Friday's play. Lepp is a native of Abbotsford, British Columbia.

Puyallup native Ryan Moore shot even par 72 to stay atop the individual leaderboard at 12-under 204. Moore owns a two-stroke lead over teammate Spencer Levin. The U.S. enters Sunday's final round of play with a nine stroke advantage over second-place Spain. Canada is 15 strokes behind the U.S. squad at 422.
