Women's Golf In Fourth At Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown

Las Vegas, Nev. - The Stanford women's golf team shot a 13-over par 301 on the opening day of competition at the Las Vegas Founders Women's Collegiate Showdown at the par 72 Anthem Country Club. Washington leads the field with a 294, followed by UNLV (296) who is only two strokes off the pace. Rounding out the top five are Texas Tech (299), Stanford (301) and USC (303).

Cardinal Kelly Husted (Sarasota, FL) carded a two-over par 74 this afternoon and is tied for seventh individually to lead Stanford. Teammate Wendra Liang (San Francisco, CA) shot a three-over 75 and is tied for 18th. Sophomores Jennifer Tangtiphaiboontana (Long Beach, CA) and Lauren Todd (Phoenix, AZ) are tied for 22nd with a four-over par 76. Cardinal Jenna Seki is tied for 43rd with a 79 on the day.

Megan Hull, from Texas Tech, and Jessica Potter, from San Francisco, are tied for first on the leaderboard after shooting a one-under par 71. Washington's Amy Wang is third with an even par 72. Three athletes are tied for fourth with a one-over par 73.

Second round action continues tomorrow at the Anthem Country Club. Tee times begin at 8 a.m.
