California's Nick Hatzke Named Pac-10 Men's Soccer Player of the Week

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - CALIFORNIA junior midfielder Nick Hatzke has been named the Pac-10 Men's Soccer Player of the Week for Oct. 26-Nov. 1, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced.
Hatzke, from San Jose, Calif., helped the Bears to wins over Oregon State and No. 4/16 Washington. He assisted on every goal the Bears scored in the two matches - contributing two in the 2-1 win against the Beavers and one in the 1-0 double-overtime upset of the Huskies. Hatzke is tied for first on the team in scoring with five goals, and is first in assists with seven. His 17 points lead the team and are second-most in the Conference.
The Bears host Portland in their last non-conference match of the season this Friday.
This is the first weekly honor for Hatzke, and the seventh all-time player of the week honor for the Bears.
