Golfers Trail by One Shot in the Desert

The UCLA men's golf team was in second place after the first two rounds in The Prestige at PGA West, hosted by UC Davis at the Greg Norman Course.
The Bruins posted a 36-hole score of 610 (+34) and trailed UC Davis by one stroke. UC Irvine was third at 612 (+36), followed by Kansas at 618 (+42) and TCU at 621 (+45).
Individually for the Bruins, freshman Daniel Im was tied for eighth place at 151 (+7) after posting rounds of 78-73. Peter Campbell and Kevin Chappell were tied for 29th at 156 (+12). Senior John Poucher was tied for 35th at 158 (+13) and sophomore Chris Heintz was tied for 45th at 160 (+16). Heintz fired a two-over par 74 in the afternoon round.
Sophomore Joakim Renstrom was tied for 23rd at 155 (+11) after carding rounds of 77-78.
Notre Dame's Cole Isban was the individual leader at two-over par 146 after posting rounds of 72-74. UC Davis' Erik Hill was second at four-over 148.
Final round action continues on Tuesday.
