Women's Golf Fifth After First Round Of Las Vegas Women's Collegiate

Las Vegas, Nev. - The USC women's golf team shot a 15-over 303 on Monday and is in fifth place after one round of the Las Vegas Founders Women's Collegiate held at Anthem Country Club.

The Women of Troy are nine strokes back of team leader Washington (294). UNLV is second (296), Texas Tech is third (299) and Stanford is fourth (301).

Sophomores Veronica Felibert and Catalina Marin lead USC after each shot 74 in the first round. They are tied for seventh, three strokes back of leaders Megan Hull of Texas Tech and Jessica Potter of San Francisco.

Also for USC, junior Irene Cho is tied for 28th (77) and freshman Jackie Desmond and junior Seiko Onoue are tied for 32nd (78).

Round two is on Tuesday with the final round coming on Wednesday.
