Oregon State ended a six-game losing streak Friday afternoon when it beat non-league opponent Humboldt State, 10-0. The Beavers (6-10-1 overall, 0-6-0 Pacific-10) got goals from six different players en route to setting a school record in both points in one game with 25 and goals in one game with 10. The loss drops Humboldt State to 8-10-0 overall on the year.

OSU senior forward Chad Bartlome scored four goals and had two assists in the game. He now leads the team with seven goals on the season. Bartlome's four-goal performance ties the current school record set in 1991 by Sean Young. Bartlome also set a school record in points in a game with 10 points (Four goals and two assists).

'It's great for a senior with only a few games left,' OSU assistant coach Anthony Latronica said. 'He has put a lot of time and effort in the past few years.'

Bartlome paced the Beaver offensive in the first half when he scored the first three goals of the game in the 6th, 22nd, and 24th minutes. Bartlome got assists from Ryan Johnson and Robbie Findley. Later in the first Evan McNeley scored off a penalty kick to add his first goal of the game. Bryan Jordan scored the last goal of first half for the Beavers in 42nd minute off a broken corner kick play when he was able to steal ball from an opposing defender and put it past the goalie for at 5-0 halftime score.

'Any time you can score that many goals all it can do is bring confidence,' Latronica said. 'Anytime we can get a win it raises the moral and every win is a good win'

The second half continued the onslaught of OSU's potent attack. Matt Johnson started the Beaver second-half attack when he received a great leading pass from Ryan Johnson. Johnson put a blazing shot past the goalie in the 54th minute to capture a 6-0 lead. Not long after Matt Johnson's goal, Evan McNeley scored his second and final goal of the game off of a give and go combo from Chad Bartlome in the 57th minute. Goals from Alex Asai, Chad Bartlome, and Mason Webb all scored to finish off the game at a score of 10-0.

Sophomore Goalkeeper Matt Fitchett recorded his first career shutout today also.

'Matt Fitchett got first career shutout,' Latronica said. 'That is always a good milestone.'
