Rosenthal Again Stanford's Top Finisher At Trojan Diving Invitational

Los Angeles, Calif. - Ashlee Rosenthal followed her second-place finish in Friday's 3-meter competition with a third-place showing Saturday's in the 1-meter event on the final day of the Trojan Diving Invitational. Rosenthal scored 542.50 points but was well behind both winner Quiongjie Huang of Hawaii and second-place Blythe Hartley of USC. Huang, who added to her 1-meter win on Friday, edged Hartley by just .05 points (613.20 - 613.15).
Cassidy Krug was the next finisher for Stanford in Saturday's 1-meter with 509.00 points to take fifth, following up on her fourth-place showing (445.70) in the 3-meter on Friday. Erin Lashnits was ninth in the 1-meter Saturday with 483.60 points, equaling her ninth-place showing in Friday's 3-meter. Katie Lampe, who finished 11th in Friday's 3-meter, was 12th in the 1-meter on Saturday with 418.00 points.
No Stanford divers competed in Saturday's platform event, which was won by Rui Wang of Hawaii (501.35).
The Stanford women's divers will be out of action until facing Pacific as part of a women's swimming and diving non-conference dual meet at Avery Aquatic Center on Saturday, January 15 (TBA). The Cardinal women's swimmers will conclude the fall portion of their schedule by competing at the Speedo Cup from November 18-20 in Long Beach, California.
