Benny Feilhaber Named Pac-10 Men's Soccer Player Of The Week

Walnut Creek, Calif. - UCLA sophomore midfielder Benny Feilhaber has been named the Pac-10 Men's Soccer Player of the Week for Nov. 2-8, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.
Feilhaber, from Irvine, Calif., scored the game-winning goal in the 79th minute to help UCLA defeat Washington 2-1 and capture the Bruins' third consecutive Pac-10 Championship. The Bruins came from behind in the contest, scoring two second-half goals after UW took a 1-0 halftime lead. Feilhaber tied for the team lead in shots with three, two of which were on goal.
Feilhaber has three goals on the season, including two game-winners. He also had an assist on the game-winning goal in the season opener. He is now tied for third on the team in scoring with eight points.
The Bruins (11-3-2 overall, 6-2-0 Pac-10), who have completed their Pac-10 Conference schedule, host San Diego and UC Davis in non-conference action this weekend. The NCAA men's soccer championship selections and pairings will be announced on Nov. 15.
This is the first weekly honor for Feilhaber, and the 21st all-time player of the week honor for the Bruins.
