The UCLA Bruins (11-3-2 overall, 6-2-0 Pac-10) clinched their third consecutive Pacific-10 Conference men's soccer title with a win over WASHINGTON (11-5-2, 4-2-1) last week... UCLA concludes the regular season with a non-conference tilt, hosting San Diego on Thursday night and UC Davis on Saturday... The second-place Huskies close out the regular season Sunday at OREGON STATE (7-10-1, 1-6-0), which has won two in a row after dropping six straight matches... UW looks to make its second straight NCAA Championship appearance when invitations are extended on Nov. 15... In soccer's version of the Big Game, CALIFORNIA (11-3-3, 3-3-1) and STANFORD (7-5-5, 2-3-2) square off Saturday in Berkeley... Four Pac-10 teams have been invited to the 48-team NCAA men's soccer championship in each of the last three seasons, while three teams made the field in 2000... The Conference had five men's soccer-playing members in 2000 and 2001, then expanded to a six-team league in 2002 and 2003 with the addition of Fresno State... Fresno State did not field a program in 2004... Pac-10 teams enter the week having posted a 32-10-8 record (.720) against non-conference competition this season.

UCLA MIDFIELDER BENNY FEILHABER
NAMED PAC-10 MEN'S SOCCER PLAYER OF THE WEEK

UCLA sophomore midfielder Benny Feilhaber has been named the Pac-10 Men's Soccer Player of the Week for Nov. 2-8, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced.

Feilhaber, from Irvine, Calif., scored the game-winning goal in the 79th minute to help UCLA defeat Washington 2-1 and capture the Bruins' third consecutive Pac-10 Championship. With the win, UCLA secured the Conference's automatic NCAA bid, ensuring it a 22nd consecutive postseason appearance. The Bruins came from behind in the contest, scoring two second-half goals after UW took a 1-0 halftime lead. Feilhaber tied for the team lead in shots with three, two of which were on goal.

Feilhaber has three goals on the season, including two game-winners. He also had an assist on the game-winning goal in the season opener. He is now tied for third on the team in scoring with eight points.

The Bruins (11-3-2 overall, 6-2-0 Pac-10), who have completed their Pac-10 Conference schedule, host San Diego and UC Davis in non-conference action this weekend. The NCAA men's soccer championship selections and pairings will be announced on Nov. 15.

This is the first weekly honor for Feilhaber, and the 21st all-time player of the week honor for the Bruins.

PAC-10 MEN'S SOCCER NOTES...

CALIFORNIA:
The Golden Bears compete in soccer's version of the Big Game on Saturday, with NCAA Tournament seeding implications on the line... Cal played Portland State to a scoreless tie last week in its only action... JR GK Eric Kronberg posted his Pac-10 second-best eighth shutout of the season against PSU... Kronberg is second in the league in saves with 51 on the year.

OREGON STATE: The Beavers close out the regular season against Washington on Sunday... OSU put an end to its six-game losing streak with a resounding 10-0 win over Humboldt State last week... Oregon State followed with a 1-0 upset victory over UCLA... In the match against Humboldt State, several school single-game records were set, including points (25) and goals (10)... SR F Chad Bartlome set the new individual single-game records for points (10) and goals (4)... Bartlome notched a hat trick in the first half of play, scoring in the sixth, 22nd and 24th minutes.

STANFORD: Gunning for a return to the NCAA Tournament after an absence last season, the Cardinal close out the regular season against rival California on Saturday... Stanford fell 1-0 at No. 5 UC Santa Barbara on Nov. 7... SR GK Robby Fulton notched five saves against the Gauchos, who out-shot the Cardinal 11-2 for the game... SO GK Andrew Kartunen, who has been splitting time with Fulton this season, paces the Conference in goals against average (0.28) and save percentage (.926)

The Huskies lead the Pac-10 in shots (262) and saves (73) and are tied for the lead in shutouts (10).
