Women's Soccer Wins NCAA First Round Game, 1-0

Los Angeles, CA - The UCLA women's soccer team advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament after a 1-0 victory over Pepperdine at Drake Stadium on the UCLA campus. Bruin forward Iris Mora scored the game-winning goal at 80:52.
After a scoreless 80 minutes, Bristyn Davis started the scoring play with a pass to Mora, who ran down the left side and chipped the ball over Pepperdine keeper Anna Picarelli and into the net just before colliding with a Waves player.
Bruin keeper Valerie Henderson made five saves in the game and earned the shutout. Picarelli had eight saves.
UCLA will play the winner of the San Diego-UNLV game, currently in progress.
