Cal Women's Swimming defeats University of Pacific, 155.50-98.50

BERKELEY, CA - California women's swimming defeated the University of Pacific Tigers, 155.50-98.50, Friday afternoon in a non-conference meet at the Spieker Aquatics Center. With the win, the Golden Bears improve to 6-0 on the season.

Junior Helen Silver won both the 100 backstroke (57.00) and the 200 Backstroke (2:00.89) for Cal, and freshman Genevieve Patterson won both the 100 breaststroke (1:02.84) and the 200 breaststroke (2:18.78). The Bears showed off their breadth and depth with seven event winners: senior Lauren Medina (1000 free, 10:05.62), sophomore Sherry Tsai (200 free, 1:50.89), sophomore Anne Babicz (200 butterfly, 2:02.12), freshman Emily Silver (50 free, 23.82), sophomore Lauren Andrews (100 free 51.59).
