UCLA Swimming Improves to 3-0 With Win Over San Diego

Cyndi Gallagher's women's swimming team improved to 3-0 on the season after defeating the University of San Diego 168-85 on Friday. With the win, the Bruins continue their unbeaten streak against the Toreros with eight consecutive dual meet victories. Gallagher improves her overall record at UCLA to 103-49-1.
UCLA won 12 of 14 events as senior Lindsey Smart and sophomore Courtney Iversen led the Bruins with multiple victories in their events. Smart won the 100 Back (59.94), 100 Fly (59.34) and 200 Back (2:08.06), while Iversen won the 200 Free (1:55.94) and 200 Breast (2:25.85). Other event winners include - Liz Keating (1000 Free, 10:17.38), Nicolette Teo (100 Breast, 1:05.88), Jeana Fuccillo (200 Fly, 2:08.79), Katie Arnold (50 Free, 24.80), Katie Nelson (100 Free, 53.59), the 200 Medley Relay team of Nelson, Jillian Ochs, Smart and Katherine Wong (1:51.05), and the 200 Free Relay team of Kim Scarborough, Wong, Arnold, and Kellin Chatfield (1:40.89).
The Bruins will return home next weekend for Pac-10 action against Arizona State on Friday, Nov. 19 at 2:00 pm and Saturday, Nov. 20 at 12:00 pm.
