22 Cardinal Soccer Players Receive Pac-10 All-Academic Recognition

Walnut Creek, Calif. - The Stanford men's and women's soccer teams combined to tally 22 Academic All-Pac-10 honors this season. Robby Fulton, Todd Leber, and James Twellman garnered First Team recognition on the men's side, while Gina Farias-Eisner and Heidi Herrick were named to the Second Team on the women's side.
In addition to the First Team selections, Matt Janusz, Andrew Kartunen, Bronson McDonald, and Bret Shimizu were named to the Second Team, while Seyi Abolaji, Michael Brown, Aaron Maines, and Galen Thompson received honorable mention honors.
It marked the third straight First Team selections for Fulton and Twellman, who received First Team accolades in each year they were eligible during their career on The Farm. It also marked the third straight Pac-10 All-Academic selection for Leber and Maines, and the second straight selection for Janusz and McDonald.
It marked the third straight honorable mention selections for Barnhart and Sanderson, while Hayley and Lindsey Hunt received honorable mention recognition for the second straight season. It was the first Pac-10 All-Academic selection for Farias-Eisner, while Herrick was chosen for honorable mention honors last season.
