Olson in Ninth Place After 1st Round of All-America Classic

El Paso, TX - Washington sophomore golfer Erik Olson was in ninth place after the first round of play at the 30th Annual Western Refining All-America Classic in El Paso. Husky teammate Alex Prugh was 28th after the first 18 holes of play. The tournament features 29 of the top college golfers in the country.

Olson shot 1-over 71 during his first round Monday while Prugh carded a 77. Neither player completed their second round due to thunderstorms in the area. Duke's Ryan Blaum held the first round lead at 4-under 67. He was one of three players to complete the second round where he fell back to 12th place after shooting 75 for a 36-hole total of 4-over 141.
