Ubaka Out 8 Weeks with Fractured Foot
Nov. 23, 2004
BERKELEY - Cal sophomore guard Ayinde Ubaka fractured the fifth metatarsal on his left foot in Tuesday's game against Southern and is expected to miss approximately eight weeks of action.
He will undergo surgery on the foot Wednesday.
Ubaka played 16 minutes against Southern - all in the first half - scoring five points and dishing out six assists against the Jaguars. But he did not return to the court after intermission after injuring his foot during the opening period.
An honorable mention Pac-10 All-Freshman player for the Bears last season, Ubaka has started 29 of Cal's last 32 games, including all three contests this year.
