PROVO, Utah (AP) - Dee-Dee Wheeler scored 19 points, had eight assists andfour steals to lead No. 25 Arizona past BYU 76-73 on Saturday.

Wheeler hit a key jumper with 1:17 left to put the Wildcats up 74-69, thenmade two free throws 23 seconds later.

The Cougars (2-1) had a chance to tie after Wheeler missed a pair of freethrows with 6.8 seconds left, but BYU couldn't get a shot off.

Shawntinice Polk had 14 points and Shannon Hobson added 12 for Arizona(3-1).

Ambrosia Anderson led the Cougars with 17 points and Danielle Cheesman added12 points and 13 rebounds. After the Wildcats fell behind by nine points,Wheeler helped Arizona outscored the Cougars 32-11 to end the first half.

Arizona led 45-33 at the break behind Wheeler's 13 points.

Arizona went 4-for-10 from 3-point range. The Cougars made 5-of-7 3-pointersto start, but finished 6-of-19.
