Great Alaska Shootout Wrap-Up...
Stanford posted back-to-back wins by an average of 30.5 points, as the Cardinal claimed the 2004 Great Alaska Shootout Championship. Freshman guard Candice Wiggins was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player and senior guard Kelley Suminski was tabbed to the All-Tournament team. With a season-high 11 points and eight rebounds against the Ragin' Cajuns, senior forward Sebnem Kimyacioglu was named Player of the Game as Stanford won the title with a 67-47 victory over Louisiana-Lafayette.

Texas Tech Bullets...
* The Lady Raiders opened their season with a 66-55 victory over Rice on Nov. 22nd.
* Center Cisti Greenwalt led the squad with 19 points and 15 rebounds, while Alesha Roberston added 18 points and 11 boards.

The Stanford-Texas Tech Series...
Sunday's game will be the 11th meeting between Stanford and Texas Tech. The Cardinal won the first three games of the series (in 1982-83, 1991-92 and 1992-93), but Texas Tech has won the last two meetings, including a 55-46 decision last December in Lubbock.

Stanford vs. the Big 12...
The Cardinal is 25-14 all-time against Big 12 foes. Stanford has faced off against 10 of the 12 teams in the conference and owns winning records against each opponent. The Cardinal has never matched up against Kansas or Oklahoma.

Texas Tech vs. the Pac-10...
The Lady Raiders have accumulated a 26-13 all-time record vs. Pac-10 opponents. Texas Tech leads seven of the series, with splits versus Arizona State and Cal. The only losing record is against Stanford, as the Lady Raiders trail the Cardinal 4-6.

Stanford vs. Ranked Opponents...
This will be the Cardinal's first match-up against a ranked opponent this season. Last year, Stanford went 3-3 versus ranked foes.
