Arizona State Outlasts Temple, 65-62

Philadelphia (AP) - Ike Diogu scored 15 points and grabbed 16 rebounds, and Serge Angounou had 13 points and a career-high 14 rebounds to lead Arizona State to a 65-62 win over Temple on Tuesday night.
Mark Tyndale and Dustin Salisbury each scored 15 points for Temple. Antwayne Robinson had 11 points and Mardy Collins added 10 for the Owls.
Temple (1-3) had its chances late in the game, but blew it with late mistakes and missed shots.
The Owls had a chance to take the lead with 35 seconds left, but Salisbury turned the ball over. Arizona State (4-1) then sank a couple of free throws to go up three.
After the two teams traded free throws to put Arizona State up 65-62, Salisbury shot a 3-pointer wide at the buzzer, allowing the Sun Devils to escape with the victory.
Steve Moore scored 13 points and Kevin Kruger had 12 for Arizona State. The Sun Devils outrebounded Temple 55-38.
