U.S. Open Update: Eads Finishes 28th and 29th

San Antonio, Tex. - Day two at the U.S. Open in San Antonio draws to a close Friday night with one day left in competition. Oregon State's lone competitor, freshman Courtney Eads, has a total of three strong finishes with one event left to swim in the last day of competition.

Eads finished 28th in the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:07.64 and 29th in the 100 Butterfly with a time of 1:04.75. Both her finishes failed to qualify for a standard time, therefore scoring no points.In the first day of competition, Eads finished 23rd in the 400 freestyle to qualify for a 'C' standard with a time 4:26.34.

Oregon State is currently scoreless at the U.S. Open with no top-16 finishes.

Competition resumes Saturday, Dec. 4; preliminaries are set to begin at 9 a.m.with the finals starting at 6 p.m.
