Laing Performs Well at LPGA Q-School

BERKELEY, Calif. - Former Cal star Vikki Laing finished the LPGA qualifying school Dec. 1-5 in Daytona Beach, Fla., and earned the second conditional card for the LPGA. Laing finished No. 2 overall on the non-exempt list, which is the highest a Cal golfer has ever finished at the LPGA Q-School. She's expected to earn a spot in every tournament in the upcoming season.
Laing finished at plus-three 363 during the five days of qualifying. She posted rounds of 76, 77, 66, 75 and 69.
The product of Musselburgh, Scotland competed for the Bears beginning with the 1999-00 season. During her senior 2002-03 campaign, Laing earned second team All-America honors and her second first team All-Pac-10 selection. That year, she helped Cal claim its first Pac-10 women's golf team title by becoming the first women's golfer in school history to win the individual Pac-10 crown.
