ASU's Hodgdon, Burks Selected For East-West Shrine Game

TEMPE, Ariz. - Arizona State University senior football players Drew Hodgdon and Justin Burks have been selected to participate in the 80th Annual East-West Shrine Game to be held at SBC Park in San Francisco Saturday, January 15, 2005.
Hodgdon, an honorable mention All-Pacific-10 Conference selection at center, anchored a young offensive line that led the Pac-10 in sacks against for a majority of the season and helped the offense to a rank of 25th in the country in passing (266.7).
Burks, an honorable mention All-Pacific-10 Conference selection at linebacker, started in all 11 games for the Sun Devils and finished the regular season with 82 tackles (46 solo), one sack, one interception and four pass break ups.
The Shrine Game's purpose is to help support Shriners Hospitals for Children. Every year since 1925, the Shrine Game has been played to raise money and to help make the public aware of the orthopedic and burn care available, at no cost, at all 22 Shriners Hospitals for Children.
