Arizona Defeated By No. 11 Georgia, 70-62

ATHENS, Ga. (AP) - Freshman Tasha Humphrey scored 19 of her 21 points in thesecond half and No. 11 Georgia beat No. 24 Arizona 70-62 on Sunday.
Arizona center Shawntinice Polk fouled out with nearly 12 minutes to play,robbing the Wildcats (6-2) of their only low-post presence. She scored 11points in 22 minutes. Dee-Dee Wheeler finished with 16 points, all but two inthe last 14 minutes, to lead Arizona.
Humphrey was 6-for-8 from the field goals and made nine of 12 free throwsfor Georgia (7-3).
Both teams endured long stretches of offensive futility in the first half.Polk got the Wildcats off to a strong start, scoring six of the team's first 15points and assisting on two more field goals as Arizona took a 15-10 lead 6minutes into the game.
But Georgia went on a 13-0 run over the next 8 minutes to take the lead forgood and was up 27-22 at halftime.
Arizona's Jessica Arnold hit a 3-pointer for the first points of the secondhalf, but the Wildcats managed just two field goals over the next 11 minutes.Polk fouled out during that period as Georgia outscored Arizona 22-6.Hardrick's layup gave Georgia a 49-31 lead with 10:20 remaining.
Wheeler and Katrina Linder hit 3-pointers to close the gap to 10 points with5:50 to play, but Humphrey scored eight of Georgia's next nine points, givingthe Lady Dogs a 66-54 lead with 1:38 to play.
