No. 16 Washington Tops Loyola Marymount, 100-93

Los Angeles (AP) - Nate Robinson had 28 points and Tre Simmons added a career-high 26 and No. 16 Washington beat Loyola Marymount 100-93 on Sunday.
The 5-foot-9 Robinson, who scored 20 points in the second half, had three blocked shots for Washington (7-1), which also got 21 points from Bobby Jones, who was 9-of-9 from the free throw line.
Will Conroy had 13 assists for the Huskies, who are off to their best start in seven seasons. Their only loss was 99-87 at No. 25 Gonzaga.
Dustin Brown and Brandon Worthy each had 18 points for Loyola Marymount (5-2).
Daryl Pegram hit a 3-pointer with about 15 minutes remaining to give the Lions a 60-59 lead. Washington then went on a 13-2 run to take control and the Huskies' biggest lead was 89-73 with 4:07 remaining.
Loyola erased a 26-19 deficit with a 10-0 run, and the Lions took their first lead at 39-37 on a layup by Damian Martin with 3:17 left in the first half.
Washington finished 19-of-29 from the free throw line after making just seven of 14 in the first half. The Lions were 20-of-25 from the line. The Huskies outrebounded the Lions 35-34.
