Mitch Meeuwsen and Mike Hass Named to AP All-American Team

Corvallis, Ore. - Oregon State University football student-athletes Mitch Meeuwsen and Mike Hass have been selected to the Associated Press Third Team All-American squad, it was announced Monday. Both individuals were recently selected to the Pacific-10 Conference First Team.
Meeuwsen has a school record 20 interceptions for his career, which includes a conference best six this season. The senior free safety from Forest Grove co-leads the team for career tackles by an active player with 211. Meeuwsen was a semi-finalist for the 2004 Jim Thorpe Award, given annually to the nation's premier defensive back.
Hass leads the Pac-10 and is third in the nation for yards receiving per game at 115.8. The junior set a new conference mark for receiving yards for a single game with 293 Sept. 10 at Boise State. The former walk-on also set a school record with 14 receptions at Arizona State. The Jesuit High School graduate already ranks second at OSU for career receiving yards with 2,287 and enters the Insight Bowl tied for the OSU mark for single season receptions with 81.
