Women's Soccer Receives Academic Honors

CORVALLIS, Ore. - The Oregon State Women's Soccer team recently received recognition for its work away from the field the field of play with the NSCAA/adidas Team Academic Award.

To receive consideration for this honor teams had to post a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher during the 2003-04 academic year, thereby earning recognition from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.

The Beavers posted an impressive 3.31 GPA during the 2003-04 season to earn the honor.

'I'm very pleased to see the team receive recognition in the classroom,' said head coach Steve Fennah. 'We had a competitive season on the field and it is exciting to see these women do so well in the classroom as well.'
