Freeman Memorial Tennis Championship - Day Two Results

Las Vegas, NV - Day Two is in the books of the third annual Freeman Memorial Women's Tennis Championship, with quarterfinal and semifinal action having wrapped up. The Freeman Memorial includes 10 of the nation's premier tennis programs, including No. 1 Stanford, No. 2 Florida, No. 5 UCLA, No. 7 Southern California, No. 13 Georgia and No. 15 California, among others.
No. 1 seeded freshman Suzi Babos was upset in the quarterfinals, dropping to Stanford's Lejla Hodzic, 6-3; 6-4.
In Flight Two of singles, freshman Stephanie Kusano picked up a quarterfinal victory, beating Rebecca Rankin of Arizona State in straight sets, 7-5; 6-2.
In single's consolation matches, freshman Marion Ravelojaona garnered her first collegiate singles win, defeating Gyorgyi Zsiros of UNLV, 6-4; 6-1. Freshman Tiffany Lee picked up a pair of consolation wins, sweeping UNLV's Stephanie Serrano, 6-3; 6-4, and South Carolina's Grace Blakely, 6-2; 6-4. Junior Jessica Shu also picked up a win against Wojdylo of South Carolina after dropping the first set, 1-6; 6-4; 6-1.
