Washington Falls To No. 11 Arizona, 91-82

TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Channing Frye scored 14 of his 18 points in the secondhalf and No. 11 Arizona made 38 of 40 free throws to beat No. 10 Washington91-82 on Thursday night, taking over first place in the Pac-10.
The Wildcats (17-3, 7-1) made 31 straight from the line between HassanAdams' miss of the front end of a 1-and-1 with 9:42 left in the first half andMustafa Shakur's miss of the second of two free throws with 33 seconds to play.
Salim Stoudamire scored 25 points, capped by a three-point play on a leaningbaseline bank shot with 44 seconds left for Arizona. Fouled by Nate Robinson ashe crashed to the floor, Stoudamire made the free throw to put the Wildcats up88-82.
Stoudamire was 9-for-9 at the line and Frye was 8-for-8.
Shakur added 18 points for Arizona, which trailed by as many as 11 points inthe first half and was down 47-40 at the break against the Huskies, who beatthe Wildcats three times last season. That was the only time in coach LuteOlson's career that his team had lost three games to the same opponent in thesame season.
Brandon Roy led Washington (16-3, 6-2) with 15 points, nine rebounds andseven assists but was just 5-of-14 from the field. Bobby Jones and Tre Simmonseach scored 13 points for the Huskies, while Will Conroy had 12 points and nineassists. Robinson scored 10 points, nearly seven below his season average.
Conroy's 3-pointer gave Washington its final lead, 73-70, with 6:34 to play.Frye, who didn't even take a shot in the first half, scored the next six pointson two free throws and two 15-footers and Arizona led for good 77-73 with 5:15to go.
Washington cut the lead to three four times over the final 4:19, the last at85-82 on Robinson's 16-foot jumper with 1:11 to go.
Down 47-36 with 1:02 left in the first half, the Wildcats scored the lastfour points of the half. They outscored the Huskies 15-4 to start the secondhalf and took a 55-51 lead on Shakur's drive with 15:06 to play.
Stoudamire scored five points in the run, and Shakur's 3-pointer from thetop of the key gave Arizona a 51-50 lead. Frye blocked two shots and Washingtoncommitted five turnovers in the surge.
