Women's Basketball Cruises To Win At Oregon State

Corvallis, Ore. - With four players scoring in double figures, the UCLA women's basketball team cruised to a 74-54 win over Oregon State in Gill Coliseum in Corvallis.
UCLA had a poor start to the game, missing 12 of itsfirst 13 shots and finding itself down 10-2 with 13:32to play in the first half, but just as quickly, theBruins recovered and came roaring back with 62%shooting from the field to outscore the Beavers 33-10the rest of the half and take a 35-20 lead atintermission. The Bruins regained the lead, 16-14, ona pair of Lindsey Pluimer free throws at 8:10 and keptOregon State scoreless for 4:45 to push their lead to22-14.
The Bruins continued their momentum in the start of the second half, running off 11 unanswered points inthe first three and a half minutes to take a 26 pointlead, 46-20 with 17:11 to play.
Nikki Blue led all players with 17 points off 7-10 shooting. She also had 10 assists, six steals and four rebounds. Lisa Willis also had a double-double with 13 points and a career-high 12 rebounds, to go along with five steals. Amanda Livingston scored 12 points, her third-straight game in double figures, along with eight rebounds, and Pluimer recorded 11 points and six boards.
UCLA dominated the boards, outrebounding Oregon State, 46-27. The Bruins had 23 offensive rebounds.
The Bruins improve their record to 13-7, 7-4 in the Pac-10. Oregon State falls to 5-16, 1-10 in the conference.
