Cal Hosts 2005 Pac-10 Championships

BERKELEY, Calif. - California will serve as host of the 2005 Pac-10 Championships April 18-20 at Rubyhill Golf Course in Pleasanton. This is the first time the Golden Bears, who are celebrating their 10th anniversary with a women's golf program, will host the conference women's golf championships.
The course plays at par 72 and is 6,185 yards. Tee times will be announced at a later date.
There will be a practice round on Sunday, April 17.
All 10 Pac-10 schools field a women's golf team. UCLA won the 2004 title with a 54-hole score of plus-38 902, while Cal was second at 920. The Bruins' Charlotte Mayorkas claimed the individual crown at plus-two 218, ahead of her teammate Hannah Jun (220). Sofie Andersson led the Bears in ninth place at 227.
Admission is free to everyone, but fans need to let the person at the gate know that they are there for the Pac-10 Championships.
