No. 2 Cardinal Men Host No. 7 USC At Avery Aquatic Center

Stanford, Calif. - The No. 2-ranked Stanford men's swimming and diving team (5-0, 2-0 Pac-10) hits the pool this weekend with a dual meet against No. 7 USC (4-1, 2-0 Pac-10) at the Avery Aquatic Center on Saturday, Feburary 5 at 1 p.m.
Stanford has won the last seven consecutive dual meets with the Trojans. Last year, the Cardinal defeated USC, 127-102. The last Trojan dual meet win was in 1996-97 when they beat Stanford, 124.5-116.5.
Last week, the Cardinal recorded victories over Arizona (155-82) and Arizona State (130-103) in league action.
The Stanford men's swimming and diving team have posted four consecutive seasons without a loss in dual meet competition. The last time the Cardinal lost a dual meet was in the 1999-2000 season (to Texas). Since that time SU is 37-0 in dual meet competition, and are 61-3 since the 1997-98 season.
The Cardinal close out the dual meet season in Berkeley against California on Saturday, February 19.
