City Of Surprise To Host ASU And Third Annual Coca-Cola Spring Training Baseball Classic

SURPRISE, Ariz. -- The City of Surprise will play host to Gonzaga University, University of South Alabama and University of Oklahoma this weekend in the Coca-Cola Spring Training Baseball Classic. The four-team, six-game tournament will be played at Surprise Stadium, the spring training home of the Texas Rangers and the Kansas City Royals.

Gonzaga will take on Oklahoma on Friday (Feb. 11) at 3 p.m. to kick off the third annual event. Arizona State and South Alabama face off at 7 p.m.

'We are once again thrilled to bring an exciting brand of college baseball to the West Valley. The City of Surprise welcomes us with open arms and hosts one of the best college baseball tournaments in the nation. The facilities and staff are first class,' said 11th-year ASU Head Coach Pat Murphy.

Tickets for the Coca-Cola Spring Training Classic are on sale at the Surprise Stadium Ticket Office, 15960 N. Bullard Ave. The office is open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Call 623.594.5600.

Prices for individual games are $8 for adults, $5 for seniors, $5 for students with school identification and those 18-years and younger. Six-game tournament passes goes for $20 for adults and $15 for seniors, students and juniors.
