Women's Swimming Moves Up In National Poll

SEATTLE-- The Washington women's swimming team gained a spot in the College Swimming Coaches' Association Top-25 poll released yesterday. The Husky women moved up from 22nd to 21st, receiving 25 votes.

The Husky women are 2-6 against top 25 teams this season, defeating No. 18 Indiana at the SMU Classic and No. 24 Northwestern while losing to No. 9 California, No. 7 SMU and No. 22 Hawaii. The No. 21 national ranking is the women's highest since the 2002-03 squad was ranked No. 23.

Washington's women's team has one meet on tap this week. The Huskies face Oregon State on Saturday, February 12. Washington's men are idle this week.
