Irene Cho Ties For Fourth At Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge

Junior Irene Cho shot a 2-over 73 on Wednesday to tie for fourth place individually as the USC women's golf team placed seventh at the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge held at Palos Verdes Golf Club.

Cho scored a 54-hole total of 221, eight strokes behind individual champ Brittany Lang of Duke (213). It the eighth top 5 finish of Cho's career.

She led a USC effort that totaled 912 strokes over the three rounds, good for seventh place and 16 strokes behind team champion Pepperdine (896).

UCLA was second (898), Duke was third (900), Florida was fourth (904) and Washington was fifth (906).

Also for the Women of Troy, freshman Dewi-Claire Schreefel tied for 21st (227) in her USC debut, while junior Tanya Dergal tied for 36th (231). Junior Seiko Onoue competed as an individual and tied for 38th (232).

Another freshman debut saw Paola Moreno shoot 233 to tie for 42nd. Freshman Jackie Desmond shot 251 to place 77th.

The Women of Troy are next in action at the Lady Puerto Rico Classic in San Juan on Feb. 21-23.
