Stanford Men's Tennis Match Against Arizona Postponed Due To Rain

Stanford, Calif. - The Stanford men's tennis match against Arizona at the Taube Tennis Center on Friday afternoon was postponed due to rain. The dual match was halted during singles play, and is scheduled to resume on Sunday at 11:00 am.
Stanford claimed the doubles point, winning two of the three matches. The No. 2 ranked tandem of senior Sam Warburg and junior KC Corkery defeated the No. 18 ranked duo of Roger Matalonga and Colin O'Grady of Arizona at the No. 1 singles spot, 8-5. Senior Phil Sheng and sophomore Eric McKean dropped an 8-5 decision to Arizona's Daniel Andrus and Bruno Alcala at the No. 2 position. Junior Jon Wong and sophomore James Wan clinched the doubles point for the Cardinal at the No. 3 spot with an 8-1 win over Paul Warkentin and Claudio Christen.
The Cardinal host Arizona State tomorrow at 12:00 pm, and will resume the match with Arizona at 11:00 am on Sunday.
