Saturday's Doubleheader Pushed Back To 3:00 p.m.

Feb. 12, 2005

IRVINE, Calif. - Due to continued overnight and morning rain, the Washington baseball team's season-opening doubleheader at UC Irvine today has been changed from a 1:00 p.m. start to a 3:00 p.m. first pitch.

The teams are still slated to play two games Saturday after Friday's scheduled game was rained out. Barring any more delays or cancellations, Sunday's series finale is still scheduled to start at 1:00 p.m.

Any more rain Saturday could move back the doubleheader start time even later, and perhaps mean that only one game will be played, depending on the length of any additional delay. That could mean the two teams would play a doubleheader Sunday.

Check for further updates should the schedule change any more. For the time being, the doubleheader will begin at 3:00 p.m., with live stats and live audio still be available at
